Sign Up for PERN

Membership is free and open to those working on population and environment issues. As of July 2007, PERN has more than 1,350 members worldwide, representing academic, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and a wide range of disciplines including demography, geography, forestry, urban planning and more. More than half of our members are from the developing world.

Members receive the periodic What’s New bulletin and are alerted to forthcoming cyberseminars. They are also automatically subscribed to the PERN discussion list (those not wishing to subscribe to this can note this in the comments field or alert PERN staff to unsubscribe). As a rule, discussion list traffic is limited to 4-5 postings per month.

To register, you first need to choose a username and password. These will be needed solely in the event that you wish to change your contact information in the future. Once you submit these, you will access the registration form. Please fill out the form and submit it. You will receive a confirmation email with the details you entered in the form, together with your user name and password for future reference.

We recommend you use your email address as a Username.
